That said, even the most fervent fans of the series are bound to want something new after all this time. The story follows Mario’s quest to save Princess Toadstool and Dinosaur Land from the series antagonist Bowser and his minions, the Koopalings. It offers crisp graphics and some of the best level-design from platformers of that era. Super Mario World is a 1990 side-scrolling platform game developed and published by Nintendo for the Super Nintendo Entertainment System (SNES). Easily one of the most iconic Mario games, and quite possibly one of the best SNES games ever released.
